Christmas day 2017 the Facebook page SNAFU which had been reported in October this year, reopened for abuse as usual, after almost 3months of self imposed hibernation. The offensive rape and child material has disappeared but the sexist material still abounds!

19/02/2018 - RAN SAILORS SUE NAVY SAYING THEY WERE 'TRICKED' INTO JOINING WITH PROMISES OF TRADES
2015-16 - More than 200 sailors, some of them still serving, have joined a class action against the Royal Australian Navy alleging they were tricked into signing up for four years under false promises they would leave with a trade. But at the end of his four years he still had no qualification. He alleges the recruitment process was dishonest and the Navy strung him along with more empty promises.
February 2018 - A judge has labelled a navy contract as shoddy, a sham and "a delusion" in a civil case where more than 200 recruits are suing the Commonwealth claiming they did not receive promised training.

16/03/2018 - NAVY WARRANT OFFICER GUILTY OF SEXUAL ACTS OF INDECENCY
An Australian Navy warrant officer from HMAS Albatross is being escorted to Holsworthy Military Prison this afternoon after he was found guilty of seven indecent acts towards women between 2014 and 2017. Ian Harrison was working at HMAS Creswell in Jervis Bay when he touched a woman's nipples and pinched another on the buttocks without their consent.

19/03/2018 - ADFA CADET FACES TRIAL ACCUSED OF RAPING STUDENT
An Australian Defence Force Academy cadet allegedly raped a Canberra university student after they began a consensual sexual relationship, a court heard on Monday. The student says she told the cadet what sexual acts she was not comfortable with and that he failed to respect her boundaries.

06/04/2018 - RAAF INVESTIGATION: TEEN TOLD TO GET BREAST REDUCTION
she was harassed at Laverton in Victoria and Wagga Wagga in NSW prior to Amberley when she was between 17 and 18 during the 1980s.

EXCLUSIVE: RAPES, revenge porn and child abuse are among dozens of alleged sex crimes involving Defence Force personnel reported in just six months. A shocking shame file obtained by the Herald Sun shows Defence members have also been investigated for groping colleagues, spiking their drinks and confronting them naked in the showers.

The image of the "drunken sailor" will be targeted by the Navy with a crackdown on excessive alcohol consumption during shore leave. Recent incidents in overseas ports prompts Navy to issue fleet directive to sailors over drinking while on shore leave Directive will "severely restrict" sailors and will include curfews and mandatory breath testing Crackdown will apply to Navy personnel of all ranks Defence has confirmed the latest fleet directive follows "recent incidents involving a small number of Navy personnel in overseas ports".

08/06/2018 - CLAIMS OF ILLEGAL VIOLENCE BY SAS
An explosive confidential report commissioned by Defence contains allegations members of Australia's elite special forces may have used "unsanctioned and illegal application of violence on operations," facilitated by weak leadership and a perceived lack of accountability. According to a Fairfax Media investigation, the report says Defence insiders confidentially described a "disregard for human dignity" by some special forces soldiers.

An Australian Defence Force Chinook helicopter unit has been grounded, with up to 10 staff accused of running a cocaine ring. 9NEWS has confirmed the personnel from the Townsville base - including officers, aircrew, maintenance workers and a civilian employee - were busted in a targeted operation that started with a tip-off.

03/07/2018 - FIJIAN SOLDIER AT DUNTROON MILITARY COLLEGE IN CUSTODY AFTER ALLEGED RAPE
A Fijian soldier who had just graduated from the Royal Military College Duntroon is behind bars after being accused of rape. Prosecutors have confirmed Samisoni Loloma Baikeitoga appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday, where he was charged with one count of sexual intercourse without consent.
